Using 3CX With Skype

Software PBX developers 3CX have added yet more benefits to improve your customer experience. The 3CX Gateway for Skype allows customers to call you for free with a single click from your website.

By adding a Skype Me button to your site your customers can be routed to your telephone system and treated like any other incoming phone call. Simply install Skype on the server running 3CX then install the 3CX Gateway for Skype and configure it with your Skype account. Now add the Skype Me button to your web site and you're done.

You can either treat incoming Skype calls like a normal call from your regular provider, transferring them straight to the switchboard or wherever you normally send incoming calls, or you can send them directly to a specific call queue or call group designed to handle calls from your web site.

You even get caller display! Staff answering calls coming in via the web site will see the Skype caller Id displayed on their phone and so can give an even more personal service

And because you can run multiple Skype accounts you can get really clever and say, use one account for Sales calls and another account for technical support, routing calls from the gateway to the appropriate phones or call groups and queues. The only limit is your imagination!
